March Madness

I love basketball.

This year has been nothing but amazing! I love watching Jimmer and Jackson, the Batman and Robin duo on the court. I feel like I am taking part of history having seen Jimmer play in person. Let the madness continue!

3.14 = Pi Day = Pie Day

So late week, I totally celebrated one of the best holidays, PI DAY! I love making pie, mostly lemon meringue, and so I invited some friends over and we ate. It was a good holiday.

Bomb Blonde Bop

Well with all the rain, I decided I had to be the sunshine in Portland and get highlights! Of course, now I just want to be at the beach so I am not sure if my plan is working, but it is fun! I found a salon just down the street from my place and with all the change in my life, why not change the hair!

Voodoo Doughnuts

"The magic is in the hole!"

I am not sure if the hole is referring to the doughnut hole or the hole in the wall location, but last night, I got to experience a true Portland highlight -- Voodoo Doughnuts. They are known for having unusual donuts and they didn't disappoint. I got the Bacon Maple Bar! And HOLY amazing goodness. I love maple bars and I love bacon....why not put them together?! I was a little scared when I arrived to be buying food from a place that looked like that, but looks can be deceiving!

Oregon Observations

So today was my two week mark of being in Oregon. Here are a few things I have observed:

1. It rains all the time. Rain, Showers, Moisture, Precipitation, call it what you will, it is WET ALL THE TIME! (So far I am still not a fan of rain, so this could be interesting. I just want summer sunshine!)

2. Most of the radio stations are either country or gospel. (Umm, what the liberal Oregon?)

3. No one really wears makeup or do their hair and lots of facial hair for the guys. (Someone slap me if I go natural!)

4. People are very friendly and funny. (People actually joke around with me!)

5. Crazy road and GPS is wrong! (Who planned these roads? I get lost even using GPS because even Google Maps can't figure it out.)
