Oh Love...

So I kind of am in love with the wedding of Prince William and Kate. They are so cute together and I love how they exchange looks throughout the event. I also love that they kissed twice on the balcony. I love love and I love weddings and I love seeing people getting married!

PS I think the accents are just lovely. Now I just want to go to London so badly.

Nashville....Gone Country

So my company had a conference out in Nashville. I have never really been down south before. We stayed at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. It was HUGE.
Being in the Music City, I saw a lot of guitars and heard lots of country.
The best part was Saturday night when this lady gave me free tickets to the Sugarland concert!
And I think I have been to enough honky-tonks for a lifetime.

One Year Anniversary

Today, April 9th, is not only my Dad's birthday, but one year ago I went through the Oakland Temple and received my endowments. It was one of the best tender mercies of my life. Since that time, I have been able to attend the temple regularly and feel the sweet love of the Lord. It was especially amazing to be able to attend live sessions at the Salt Lake Temple. After moving to Portland, I am actually closer to the temple than in Utah. Now, I am learning to love the Portland Temple.

Temples I have attended:
  • Oakland
  • Salt Lake City
  • Provo
  • Draper
  • Oquirrh Mountain
  • Bountiful
  • Jordan River
  • Mount Timpanogos
  • Logan
  • Rexburg
  • Albuquerque
  • Seattle
  • Portland
The temple is heaven on earth. I am so grateful for the blessings of the temple.

Happy Easter!

Now that is it April, it is Easter time and I just had to decorate. I had a few things, but really wanted to find something that said Easter. While I was getting a prescription filled (because I hurt my foot while in Chicago), I found the Easter section of the story.
I just thought this little sign was so cute! And I also got Cadbury Eggs and a candy dish.
Now I just need the Springtime sunshine to come!

The Windy City

Last week I headed out to Chicago for training, but coordinated with friends to come early and explore Chicago. I flew out early Saturday morning and arrived in the windy city not quite prepared for the cold. Oh was it cold! And it was windy! Shantal and Derek, who live right downtown, were kind enough to let me stay with them and Shalee came too! I rode the "L" from the airport and all I could think about was my prince charming getting knocked onto the tracks and having to save him and then the nurse thinking we were engaged, but falling in love with his brother. Oh wait, that's While You Were Sleeping.

Anyways once I arrived, it was time to experience Chicago. Of course, the main thing I wanted to experience was PIZZA! Seriously, pizza is the best thing ever! And Chicago-style pizza is AMAZING.
Look at that crust, it was DEEP dish and oh so great! The cheese is put first not the sauce. Then it was a ton of sausage then tomato chunks, and pepperoni, peppers, onions, mushrooms. Yummy!
On Sunday, we went to church where I totally ran into some friends from BYU. Small world! And there were a ton of cute BYU couples in the ward. I loved it! Then after church, we walked around Navy Pier which was fun.
On Monday, we went to the Chicago History Museum and then went shopping. We also had to try a Chicago Hot Dog!That night, we went to the top of the Hancock Building. The best part was that the best view was in the Women's Bathroom:)
On Tuesday, I got picked up and went to the Q Center for training. **Side Story: the driver was holding a sign saying "COOK" and then I got into a Town & Country. I felt like a movie star.
